Cards

The quilt group I belong to, Greenstede Quilters, has an exhibition coming up in March/April and all members make cards to sell, the money being raised covers the cost of putting on the exhibition.

I spent the weekend making two types. The first are needlefelted. I used wool and silk fibres, felt and threads which were felted to cotton fabric which I had dyed. I added some hand stitching and buttons to each of the design. The first ones are abstract; the second are landscapes.

The next ones were made using snippets of different fabrics which were bonded to a background using mistyfuse. A layer of net was put over the top and then I machine quilted in a stipple pattern. Yet again buttons were added to finish.
